A day in the life...

"You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing.  What!  Is it nothing to be happy?  Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long?  Never in his life will he be so busy again."
-Jean Jacques Rousseau

This is what fills our days.
We eat popsicles.
We swing on tire swings.
We catch bugs and the cat and beanbags (don't ask.)
Sometimes we have to read and do math.
But mostly, once the iPad and the tv and the computer is off, we just hang together.
How awesome is that?

  1. I found your blog through facebook...on the rabbit trail that led from Aunt Jane's page to your page and then here. I tend to unintentionally chase rabbit trails...A LOT. I'm married to Jane's nephew Jake, FYI, so while I might be a stranger, I'm not entirely a strange stranger. ;-) I've read through a few of your more recent blogs, and I love the honesty and humor with which you write. And I miss those little kids that you get to hang out with all summer. You should post pictures more often. :-)
